I am delighted to see so many of my amazingly talented friends among this year's nominees for Broadway World Austin Awards!
I have made it no secret how special The Baron's Men's The Lark was for me as a person and as a performer. Working on this show, getting to play this amazing young woman, with this specific group of people, was healing and empowering. So, I am especially glad to see some of my Lark family among the nominees! Robert Deike's Warwick and Beaudricourt, Ryan Wilson's Dauphin, my Joan, and The Lark as a whole are nominated in the Drama category. And, in the Comedy category, Shrewd Productions' As You Like It got a handful of nominations as well: Lily Wolff's directing, Julie Moore's Touchstone, the entire cast's performance, and As You Like It as a whole. And countless other amazing friends were honored in this year's nominations for their work in productions that I got to enjoy from the audience side of things. Looking at this year's nominations was like flipping through a scrapbook of some of my favorite productions, both as a performer and theatre-goer. Congratulations to all the 2016 nominees! But, when all is said and done, this post is really just a big, long excuse for me to share these fake movie posters I made featuring my BWW nominated cast mates:
